Welcome Home Marathon: 5.27.25 but who cares about the time

What a wonderful morning running, walking, stopping to take photos for admire the view at different parts of the course.

Stated off under the Harbour Bridge at Milson's Point and 5k later we were heading over the harbour bridge, around the rocks and around the opera house, off through the botanical gardens and mrs Macquaire's chair, through Kings Cross and the onto part of the city to surf course and heartbreak hill, at the round about at the top a detour off the course to the gap at watsons bay (and past the church I was married in 37 years ago), back onto the city to surf course to bondi and then out and back along the coastal work to make the distance.

Makes me exhausted just writing it.

Great course. Ran with various runners and had enjoyed some wide ranging and interesting conversations.

The overnight rain stayed away with the cloud cover keeping the direct sun away. That made running some much more comfortable than what could have been with the exceptionally warm weather Sydney has been experiencing lately.

Time to recover ready for the marathon next Sunday up near Kempsey. Really looking forward to this one - one of my favourite events. No time prediction except the usual to be under 4 hours.
