Felt okay yesterday so thought I would venture out for a cruise. Usually after a marathon I struggle to get out by Thursday - maybe with the 55k the strain is different. I know the muscles are still wrecked and need time but this was just turning the legs over - travelled the 5k course and couldn't resist to start the watch - did't look at it again until the finish in 27.53.
Will run as I feel over the next few days and no serious running until I feel that I have recovered from the last few weeks. At the moment I am injury free and would like to stay that way so no overuse injuries please.
